i dont have an xenyx mixer but i did get energxt. its VERY easy to get started with this program. if you have used fl (like many here have) it is sort of like fl merged with live and loads up in no time. the thing is incredibly small and i got somewhat productively messing around with it within minutes and without reading the manual or viewing tutorials. this mixer has to be 'FER SURE' worth the money even without the bundled software but included it should be a downright steal.

I have a four year old Eurorack 1622FX mixer and it's been a workhorse and has always sounded very good. My band and I took it on tour all over the world and it never failed us (we had NO backup mixer), so I'm looking forward to getting this new xenyx 1622, especially since it now has USB….and the compression knob on each channel is also a nice touch! Can't wait to get this.

Glad you had good luck – but we lost the first channel on ours, which makes me not trust the mixer anymore.
Next time, Alesis or Mackie.
