Propellerhead has updated Figure for iOS, adding some frequently requested features, like SoundCloud and AudioBus support.
Here’s what’s new in Figure 1.4:
- SoundCloud Sharing – share your Figure tracks with access to Facebook, Twitter and more
- Audiobus support: Now you can stream live audio directly to other Audiobus-compatible apps
- Background audio (in device Settings)
- Sort song list by Name/Date
- Bug fixes and performance improvements
The update makes Figure even more of a no-brainer. Figure is $.99 in the App Store.
If you’ve tried the new version, let us know what you think of it!
F* YEAH!!!
Figure SUCKS
Doesn’t seem to work with an app in the FX slot. Anyone else?
Which ipad are you using? I have had no problems on my ipad 4… i tried it with livefx, magellan and nlog pro as fx and everything works flawlessly.
Lovely news for a lovely day!
I really hope someone over at Reason is dreaming up External Midi Sync too, I LOVE Figure and I always seem to some up with interesting things on it but I would love to be able to use it in conjunction with Magellan or TJ to add something that is a little more personal to the presets.
good for propellerhead.
now moog cmon and bring it dammit.
I was playing with it and at a certain point it stopped responding– probably just needs a restart.
It’s ok. It looks like the way you get to choose patterns is by choosing 1,2,3… etc. They aren’t even subdivisions, but rather are typical rhythms with that number of notes. It seems to be pretty effective. It would be nice of the scale picker had just a little more variety. But maybe the potential is there down the road.
Does this export multitrack drums?
Not directly. Using Cubasis through Audiobus, create an audio track for each drum part. Mute all parts you don’t want and record. Repeat, and there you have your multitrack drums!
