Saturday Synth Porn: Aliens Project’s SynxsS Studio is an amazing synth lair that looks a bit like a synthesizer museum designed by H.R. Giger.
Awesome gear is everywhere – along with a lot of strange surprises:
Is this the ultimate sci-fi synth studio? Check out the photos and let us know what you think!
There are more shots of studio at the Aliens-Project site.
Depends on what you call “ultimate.” I’m a slab-synth/DAW guy, so my first image was one of being strangled in patch cords as if the Kraken had grabbed me by the neck. It deserves to be on the list of ultimate MODULAR studios, but not necessarily a list of the best sci-fi synth studios. It also depends on what you call “sci-fi.” The gear is real, so the only fantasy is shouldering the price tag for the more intimidating towers.
Oh I love the patch cable organisation, that is brilliant! And the Aaron (?) chair, I believe in good ergonomics, make it easier to keep playing for longer !
I’d need someone to label everything in the studio for me, I’ve forgotten what that big wall of synths is called, and am wondering how there can be so much/many? Is there repeats on that wall?
And I love the lighting!
I bet you can make some mean jean michel jarre covers with that studio
I feel like I’ve had too much cake! Would love to spend a month in there!
Looks really cool, but I want to hear what they can make with all that.
2nd photo caption:
“what’s the story with this poor guy?”
“Oh, he was trying to figure out where the On button was”
Unfortunately the guy who owns this studio recently started selling much of the gear in this studio, apparently because he retired from this day-job. I believe the modular system is already sold.

Amen
Your sad omment makes you come across as small and petty.
Yeah, I feel the same way when I see a guy with a vintage ferrari in a show room, or a vintage guitar in a glass case on a wall, etc. You want to be impressive? Pull it off the wall and PLAY IT!
That being said, it is an awesome pile of stuff. I would love to have been this guys neighbor. “Hey, need me to watch the dogs this weekend?”
He’s a trance artist from Israel, he’s good at what he does: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eb9flO2E0Vk
You mean the owner of the studio? No he’s a German, living in Offenbach (Main).
