Developer Matthias Frick let us know that midimittr for USB – a free app that lets you use a standard Lightning/30-Pin Cable to connect your iOS Device to your Mac and PC – has been updated with Inter-Device Audio and is now open source.
“After having put out iOXAudio as a standalone app, I decided to add the same functionality for the midimittr USB Desktop app,” says Frick. “Besides sending MIDI Data over USB to iOS Devices, users can now easily activate inter-device audio functionality on OSX 10.11.”
The updated app can be downloaded for free and the source code is available on github.
I’m a bit lost here, wasn’t this supposed to be working natively since El Capitan?
