No AU support..?!
android??
whow
are the app makers realized that there is over 100 more android users that apple users (due to price of device)
Lets see how many android users will purchase 10-15-20 dollar apps
I did because unlike apple, google has a survey program that gives you play store credits for doing these 4 or 5 question micro surveys that add up – that is how I got caustic and nanoloop and a bunch of other music apps.
They will download cracked free version instead, only to realise that latency on their 100 dollar contraption called Android device makes it unusable 😉
Btw; Android and music production in one sentence is contradiction in terms. Also be very carefull that your beloved Android device will not explode in your face when using it… 😉
It’s simple – developers know that it doesn’t matter how many people OWN the phone: Apple users buy 100x the number of apps than Android users. So that’s why developers pretty much always develop for iOS first. Do you honestly think developers don’t go where the money is?
Android Apps do make real money for developers. Its just that audio apps are very hard due to the audio issues and device fragmentation on Android. Its more that developers are lazy, not that Android is not a money maker. The days of Apple App domination are long-gone.
100 more users is nothing to brag about.
I know you are supposed to be able to save projects and open them in fl studio through a plugin – wondering if the save files are cross platform though since it might be worth trying out on this cheap win 10 tablet I have if I can say, make stuff on the phone on the bus into work and then jump to the tablet later
So it won’t run Plugins, right?
Then why even bother?
I think I’ll stick with Gadget on my iPad and Caustic 3 on my Android.
Gadget and Caustic have a better set of included modules but they don’t run plugin either.
caustic also runs on android and windows by the ways
They are always after me lucky charms!!!
missing AU isn’t biggest problem, cause there is still not much AU plugins available .. but everything else IS problem – no IAA (even they stated on app page and their facebook page it supports IAA, in fact it DOES NOT) ..
Audiobus not working (doesn’t record connected synth to audio track) .. you can’t edit audio recorded from microphone … app doesn’t send midi (notes) to external synths (neither ios synths or hw synths when midi interface connected to ipad) .. no ableton link or other standard iOS way to sync / connect with other apps .. you cannot load own samples into sampler, ust use build in libraries (or buy some via in app purchases) .. sampler have 4 parameters – amp attack, decay, pitch and fine tune (really!!) .. and not speaking about details like you cannot resize piano keyboard, no vertical zoom in sequencer, you cannot delete build in demo tracks and a lot lot of “you cannot” …
this is bad yoke, this whole app .. if it will be released before 4-5 years, then ok, but today ??
returned app back, and don’t want never hear about it, it’s pure crap..
You can resize the the keyboard using the black bar just above it.
Vertical zoom in sequencer – make sure one finger is in the black bar underneath.
Importing samples – use iTunes, drop them into My Samples. You can also import your own instruments (which are basically organised samples). You can delete demo tracks from here too.
I do take your point about it working with other stuff – IAA did work on FLM2 (apart from on the 6S).
Image-Line said on the mobile forum, there were bugs in IAA they were ironing out. Jumping the gun a little aren’t we?
can you import your own samples yet?
Still no Mac support. That’s ok, because I still like having the ability to record .wav files and have quality sounds.
Hahahahahahaha. Fruity Loops.
is it still a cpu hog?
