Synthesist Chris Stack (experimentalsynth) shared this synth jam, featuring the new Sequential Prophet-5, sequenced via Ableton Live.
Here’s what he has to say about the technical details:
“Exercising the Prophet 5 rev 4 by throwing a lot of notes at it. Doing this with Ableton via USB MIDI. This gave me some hands free for timbral exploration.
The Prophet 5 does the plucky stuff very nicely. “
That sounds almost generative, but more cohesive. Very enjoyable demo moment. What a colorful rhythm bed. It cries out for two contrasting tracks to breathe life into it!
“Cohesive Generative” is a particular area of exploration I enjoy.
Im sure this could have been done one much cheaper devices too..
if you so shore, prove it
No, I don’t need to prove you anything, I can only tell you what my ears and mindset is telling me.
If you don’t agree and find it super unique and Prophet-5 characteristic and not re-makeable on other much cheaper synths, well then I feel bad for you
I feel 10x bad for you ?
No worries, you will understand it one day
It was an easy kill :- )
