A demo of the Pan PC:
I´m trying the sound posibilities of my last invention: PAN PC.
I´ve started from the very beginning: connecting the LCD and piezos to the speakers jacks of my amplifier and playing with the input miniplug. After a couple of not too pleasant electric shocks, I decided to conect the miniplug to my laptop and play some samba: sound and image Synchro!
All the audio that you hear comes from the piezos confirming the eighth rule of hardware hacking as teached by Nicolas Collins: mike as speaker, speaker as mike – the symmetry of it all.
Note to hackers/benders: watch out for those “not too pleasant electric shocks”!
I’ve got nick collins book in the mail because i’ve seen it referenced so much anyone have any other books if i like that one. I don’t have a mastery of electronics but Ghazalas book is more basic than i thought it’d be.
Thanks for writing this. It was interesting. You seem very knowledgeable in your field.
