Waverazor Dual Oscillator Module Brings New Types Of Synthesis To Eurorack

At the 2019 NAMM Show, MOK is introducing the Waverazor Dual Oscillator Module, bringing its unique oscillator design to the Eurorack format.

The new oscillator design debuted in 2017 in MOK’s Waverazor synthesizer. The oscillator lets you cut individual waveforms cycles into slices and then individually modify and modulate the slices. The technique lets you create ‘twisted and aggressive timbres’, and enables new sound generation techniques like Multi-Sync and ‘Mutant AM’.

The module is being created and distributed in collaboration with 1010music, known for their advanced touchscreen Eurorack module designs.

“We’re thrilled to bring Waverazor’s unique sound into the hardware world, where you can warp every parameter by grabbing real knobs,” say MOK co-founder Taiho Yamada. “Not only that, but you can harness all the power of your modular by patching into the Waverazor Dual Oscillator Module’s 22 CV inputs, external audio input, and MIDI mini jack for additional modulation from up to 20 continuous controllers.”

Features:

  • Patent-pending oscillator design dynamically slices and recombines waveforms
  • 2 independent oscillators
  • Built-in oscilloscope enables precise waveform creation
  • Detailed and responsive multi-touch screen
  • 2 high resolution CV inputs, 20 modulation CV inputs
  • Modulation input metering
  • MIDI and Clock input (TRS MIDI input, Arturia compatible)
  • 3 Audio outputs, Trigger output

Additional details are still to be announced at the MOK site.

      1. which is totally cool by me. plenty of sites out there peddling vapor hardware to hyperventilating fan kids who can pay about 2 days of attention max to their latest shiny toy.
