The annual Austin Stompbox Exhibit and Synth Expo (aka the Pedal and Synth Expo) returns this weekend, coinciding with the South by Southwest conference and music festival, and the capital city’s Music Week.
Organized by The Deli and Delicious Audio, the free Pedal and Synth Expo features dozens of synthesizer and pedal manufacturers. Guitarists and bassists are invited to bring their own instruments to plug in and try out pedals, and synthesists are invited to “show up empty-handed” to test the synth gear — all with headphones.
While the Expo is happening on the third floor of the venue, live music with emerging artists will be happening on the ground floor. The Expo is noon- 7pm Friday, March 15, and 11 am – 6 pm on Saturday, March 16, at The Chuggin Monkey, 219 East 6th Street.
The Austin Pedal and Synth Expo is free (but you can RSVP here) and open to all.
