MakeProAudio has introduced MPA Platform, a new system that’s designed to make it easy for you to design and build custom audio gear.

They describe the MPA Platform as the LEGO system for building pro audio gear:

“Build the audio mixer, synthesizer and control gear you need. Expand your Eurorack with never seen before modules and functionality all using the MPA Platform. You choose from a wide offering of premium quality pre-constructed components (electronics and mechanical) Tile modules, that you assemble into Blocks to provide the function you want.”

The system is built around a Raspberry Pi that runs ‘GLUE’ and ties everything together, providing the essential network connection.

The MPA-Platform allows you literally “plug together”  modules to meet your needs. This makes it possible to expand your gear when you need it, and scale up your system however you need to.

 

Pricing and Availability

The first individual Maker boards and MakeKits are expected to ship in June 2019. Pricing is to be announced, but they expect all-in box-MakeKits to be available for less than 200 EUR. Additional Audio, Control and Connect tile modules for use in building larger scale projects and other audio solutions, are expected to be available later this year.
