Thereminist Carolina Eyck has released a new album, Waves, in collaboration with Eversines.
The projected started life as an idea from yeyeh and ninih founder Pieter Jansen, who wanted to mark the Theremin’s centenary by getting Eyck and Eversines to join forces. Jansen believed that Eyck’s ability to fuse human and electronic sounds would provide a good foil for Eversines’ passion for sound processing and modulation.
Waves is the result of a two week studio collaboration between Eyck and Eversines. The album builds on Eyck’s work composing for theremin and voice, with both artists playing a part in processing, modulating, layering and arranging vocal and theremin sounds.
