woaw !!!! Thanks a lot for sharing this video.
I always love watching these old “relics” about Tangerine Dream.
Cheers
Eric
Enjoyed it.
This video seems like ancient history, but their music still sounds modern!
Wow!!!!
The interviewer is Donny Sutherland and he had a show on TV called ‘Sound Unlimited’ … from memory it was on a Saturday morning… really good show because it played both current music and introduced you to a world of other/non-commercial bands (I saw my first Sex Pistols video on S.U. which was something to see when you were 11!!!)
Thanks very much for posting this clip… really great to see.
I wish this video had the right aspect ratio.
This is originally a 4:3 video which is the old format, not 16:9 like nowadays
Watching videos in the wrong aspect ratio is strange and tiring.
Contorted reality.
I love seeing these 80’s TD interviews, thanks for sharing it, does anyone know, if an Exit tour was ever released on DVD?
And we complain about what YouTube does to music! Ouch.
Black and White video? Say it ain’t so.. I was a high school senior. I remember having color.
all of the 80s “Sounds” episodes by Donnie were deleted by Channel 7 the Australian tv station. Some incredible interviews. All gone and lost forever other than fans VHS tapes in poor condition like this. SHAME on you Ch7!!!
Pretty poor video (content wise) revealing little, although interesting on a purely historic level. There are loads of more interesting audio interviews with Edgar and Chris (Johannes was normally a bit shy).
I remember this tour, i had breakfast with the band and did an interview for my column “symphonogarde”
Hi Paul. Any chance you have any items from their ’82 Australia tour (pass, ticket, invite, press release, etc)?
