At Superbooth 2019, we talked with Artemiy Pavlov of Sinevibes, who showed us his plugin oscillators for the Korg Prologue and Minilogue XD synthesizers.
Korg’s Prologue and Minilogue XD synths feature their Multi-Engine, a new feature that allows you to load custom oscillator and effects plugins. This gives you the ability to expand your synth with new capabilities.
Sinevibes offers three oscillator plugins, each of which brings a new capabilities to your synth:
- Bent – bent-wave FM synthesis
- Tube – resonator modeling synthesis
- Turbo – variable waveshaping synthesis
Details on the plugins are available at the Sinevibes site.
Will it work with the coming Korg NTS-1?
I bet that was the first thing that came up in almost everyone’s mind. 🙂
Yes, Korg has confirmed that the NTS-1 has the same SDK as the bigger synths, so Sinevibes plugins should work. We will announce official compatibility once we can test them on the actual device.
Awesome, the other Korgs are out of my budget…but I would love to get this to explore all the cool oscillators and effects developed for it.
Can it plugin to the Korg – Nu:Tekt synth ?
this shit is bad ass
finally people doing new shit with oscillators on keyboards.. (modular never needed help)
Now THIS is cool! If Korg ever comes out with a Kronos 3, it should have this digital oscillator that can run these types of custom oscillator designs.
Korg’s ‘logue line & ELK synths are the two most interesting synths to keep an eye right now, because they’re not just synths, they are platforms that can continue to grow and develop as long as there are users.
I want a 3 osc polysynth that can mix and match these new oscillators. I’ll settle for a 4 voice version e.g. xdigital.
While not exactly what you are asking for, the Prologue can layer two parts each with one digital osc and two analog. So, you can have a 4 or 8 voice patch that has two digital osc and four analog osc.
