Sunday Synth Jam: Synthesist and sound designer Alba Ecstasy (Mihail-Adrian Simion) shared this live Berlin School style performance, featuring the Sequential OB-6.
Here’s what he has to say about the performance:
“So, my friend Robert – send him your good thoughts and prayers, please – had to leave the country – and left his #SequentialOB6 in my custody!
..and I put it to work! Here’s accompanied by the #NovationPEAK, #RolandJU06A, Korg Radias, Virus Ti2, Casio CZ-1, Digitakt and Analog Four.
Just a classic Berlin School.”
This is very nice. Is that a Deepmind he is using to control the Peak?
Another boring ambient synth jam…
If you don’t know the difference between ‘ambient’ and Berlin School or ‘Kosmische’, maybe you just aren’t paying attention.
The great thing about music is that the listener can form an opinion without knowing the name of the style they’re listening to.
“Wow, that’s great” or “Eew, I can’t stand that” are both valid reactions.
Yes,, everyone has an opinion, but that doesn’t mean that every opinion has merit.
Saying “Wow, that’s great” or “Eew, I can’t stand that” ARE both valid reactions.
But dismissing a piece of music as ‘boring’, while not having the musical knowledge to distinguish between two very popular and very distinct categories of electronic music is like advertising one’s ignorance.
Downvoted this guy for using Behringer products to play a superior Novation Peak
Would you upvote him for using a Linnstrument to play an inferior Akai Timbre Wolf?
sure, both are original designs made by respectable companies.
I like this Berlin School Jam… Well done!
