Seems very much the same thing as the mk1: a $700 microkorg.
Also, seems like Korg ditched the RK-100SP prototypes unveiled last year. But at least the wood finish looks gorgeous: the red one reminds me of my SG.
Slim keys in a keytar? Thank you but no. I tried previous keytar from Korg and this was absolutely deal breaker for me, I prefer full size keys when I have to grab a keytar and make some awesome solo on stage. After playing on nomal keyobard during live gig for 10 minutes or more it’s really difficult to grab something with mini-keys and launch a great, precise fast solo.
As someone who has used this style of keyboard for just about every gig I’ve played since the late 80s I cannot tell you how much I dislike this one. The 2nd ribbon controller is under the keys. Why? How is that even close to useful. Too expensive because of the synth engine and a distinct lack of modulation controls. I didn’t think I’d dislike one of these more than the AX-Synth but I was wrong.
And this thing isn’t new, it appears to be exactly the same one they sold a few years ago.
Hi! Has anybody got an idea what makes this version 2? If I compare specs of 100s and 100s 2 only thing I see different is weight. V2 seems to weight 850g less than its predecessor. If that’s all this update is amazingly disappointing. See for yourself:
