New Series, ‘Displaced Confidentiality’, Explores Live Performance During The Pandemic

Synthesist Damian Marhulets shared this playlist of videos from their new video performance series, Displaced Confidentiality.

Marhulets says that the series deals with the question of “What does a live musical performance mean when facing the absence of any audience?”

Here’s what Marhulets has to say about the series:

“Most of the performances focuse on (privat) non-concert spaces as well as musical setup itself with performers being only slightly present.

A whole range of electronic instrumentarium was used: eurorack modular synthesizers, tape loops, cassette players, guitar pedals, chiat-lonbarde instruments as well as accoustic instruments. The series also features two special guests: an amazing classical pianist Marina Baranova and a well known youtube influencer and sound alchemist Hainbach.”

You can view the performances above or via Marhulets’ channel on Youtube.
