Audio technologies developer Sound Magic has introduced Amati Violin, a new hybrid modelling virtual instrument for Mac (AU 32-/64-bit, VST 32-/64-bit) and Windows (VST 32-/64-bit).
Amati Violin is based on a priceless antique violin, created by Nicolò Amati in the year 1664. Nicolò Amati gained his reputation as a renowned violin maker in Italy. He also had two world-famous pupils, namely Antonio Stradivari and Andrea Guarneri. The trio is known for creating the best violins ever made.
Here’s what Sound Magic has to say about Amati Violin:
“The Amati Violin sounds unique, as it evokes emotion. This adds a special timbre color to the final sound. Regardless of the style of music you compose, this violin can add special characteristics to its sound, with a natural dynamic. Also, the multi dynamic sampling ensures the violin can have enough dynamism when doing crescendo and decrescendo.
Amati Violin offers far more sound-shaping options than a sampling instrument with five bands parametric EQ and more control over the harmonic partial sounds. This means you can quickly change timbre with a simple turn of a knob or tune every single note with the Scala tuning system.
We’ve also made it possible to finish all techniques on a single track with our performance keyswitch system that allows the Cadenza Violin to be used in live performances without sacrificing quality or efficiency.
No two sessions, songs, or musical experiences are alike, which is why Amati Violin has been recoded in a variety of formats to suit every need including non-vibrato, pizzicato, sustains, staccato and spiccato, —all to ensure it fits every musical style. Also most articulations also have different vibrato depth to make it cover more situations.”
