eXtream Software Development let us know that they have released update v5 for Audio Evolution Mobile Studio for iOS.
This major update brings tempo and time signature change, including gradual tempo changes between two tempo markers, which is a rare feature on mobile. Furthermore, it now supports MIDI remote control, which allows you to control the mixer, transport controls and more by MIDI CC messages.
It is fully customizable, with many options to handle different types of controllers. Another new feature is the ability to record the audio output from another track or bus.
The release also contains a new Dimension chorus effect and the Toneboosters Enhancer v4 effect (in-app purchase required).
Pricing and Availability:
Audio Evolution Mobile Studio for iOS is available now for $10.99. It’s also available for Android in the Google Play Store.
With this, it now seems like there are two powerful DAW-like apps for Android. I haven’t tried this one, but based on what I can see from the screenshots, it seems like a pretty bog-standard feature set — with the usual creative limitations.
I’m a big fan of planet-h apps, especially G-Stomper Producer (for Android) which punches WAY above its class in creative freedom especially with rhythm.
There is professional app called Steinberg Cubasis available for android in case you didn’t know it.
It is paid app of course 😉
Most android users don’t pay or like paying for their apps… 😉
Thanks, Leslie. That’s good to know. I didn’t realize Cubasis was on Android.
I like paying for apps. My special challenge as user of an Android phone is that my phone isn’t linked to Google. So all my apps must come from Amazon. Fortunately, G-Stomper apps are all on Amazon.
I do have an iPad, and have WAY more apps than I use (which I suppose is the curse of iOS).
