every time i hear any branding having to do with Roland’s ZEN_XXXX, my instinctive reaction is the opposite of ZEN.
Excellent update
14,000 presets in the Max set? That’s Omnisphere territory. If you take on 3 or 4 environments this big, how much time will you spend using each one rather than just reviewing sounds? It can become a serious time trap, so make sure you’re pretty wild for the basic overall tone of the company’s instruments beforehand. I like the Roland sound, but it makes better sense to have ‘band members’ from different places. I’d never give up my Korgs, but I have several softsynths that blend with them like mad. Talk about broad string sections….
Absolutely love Zenbeats. It’s pretty much all I use on PC now. Sometimes I renew my Presonus sub but getting so I never have to anymore. I just dig the workflow so much.
Exactly Bob, I’ve been addicted to the zen workflow since 1.0 and because of missing features (primarily sidechaining, which I still just use automation as workaround) I’ve tried many other DAWs but none of them feel as fluid in flow as ZB. Ive spent a good amount of time learning others properly but as soon as I fire up zenbeats again I feel at home. I imagine by 4.0 it will be damn near perfect.
