Synthesist John L Rice shared this concise piece for tongue pans and synths.
Here’s what he shared about the technical details:
Yudin Workshop Pulsar tongue pan. The violin is from a Roland Integra7, the cello and bass are from a Mellotron M4000D. (cello is an internal Chamberlin sound and the bass is a Gino Vannelli sound on expansion card 03).
“and the bass is a Gino Vannelli sound on expansion card 03”. That’s something you don’t learn every day, in fact I’m intrigued by that statement.
All of the Gino Vannelli sounds on expansion card 03 are really great! I have a video on my YouTube channel where I quickly demo all of the sounds on the card (and the other Mellotron expansion cards as well) if you are interested. ๐
Thank you, I’ll look it up.
Thanks for posting my video! ๐
kickass performance John! you made me miss my Kronos badly. I love playing strings on it. wonderful instrument arrangement.
I greatly appreciate the nice compliments, John! ๐
Excellent. Further proof that all it takes is a few good instruments, a good idea and a little sweat.
Thanks Dave! ๐
The Yudin website is maybe the best I’ve ever seen for a music instrument company. Extremely well done.
