Full Bucket Music has introduced Oxid, a free software synthesizer for Mac & Windows, based on the sound of the classic ’70s ARP Omni-2 polyphonic synthesizer.

  1. Yes, it simple, yes, it’s limited but hey, it sounds good and I was saving my own patches immdiately. NB: All similarities to Tangerine Dream circa 1976 are purely intentional.

  2. Speaking as an ex-owner of Arp Omni-2, this is the closest as of yet. Sure the Cherry Quadra was some kind of substitute, but this one ticks all my boxes. Well done!!
