In this video, synthesist Starsky Carr takes a look at the new Behringer Model 15, a Euro format knockoff of the Moog Grandmother.
The Model 15 has the same synth architecture and controls as the Grandmother, but moves drops the keyboard and moves the patch points to the right side of the panel.
“For all intents and purposes,” Carr says, “it’s a smaller and cheaper version of the Moog Grandmother.”
Behringer introduced the Model 15 in 2022, but said at the time that they weren’t putting it into production yet because of parts constraints.

Spring emulation
Maybe but Spring is pretty low down in the chain of difficulty to accurately emulate
It’s probably an Accutronics “brick” chip which sounds pretty good anyways
That’s fascinating. Any chance you can expand on that?
I have never compared the spring to it’s emulated counterpart
Calling this the “Model 15” is just straight up trolling, isn’t it?
First time?
Very nice, can’t wait to get mine
Behringer are much better than Moog. Moog are dying
I don’t think so. Heard of the Muse?
