The latest Woody Piano Shack is a review of the BOSS RC-202 Loop Station.
The video takes a look at how this works as a looper for keyboards and synths.
The BOSS RC-202 offers looping and multi-effects in an compact tabletop unit. Four Input FX and four Track FX are available at once, and loops can be saved to memories in real time.
Expanded foot control and MIDI capabilities are also included, ideal for looping musicians who have their hands occupied with guitar, keyboards, and other instruments.
Woody highlights the features and usability as pros, and input noise as the chief con.
Check out the video and share your thoughts about the BOSS RC-202 as a looper for synths in the comments!
What’s the best looper for synths?
It sounds like this one has a noise problem.
i myself like the ehx 1440 but it is a much different beast but for myself it works great.
> noise problem
I mean, it *is* Boss…
The RC-202 is already 8 years old. Boss did release the RC-505 MK2 but didn’t upgrade the RC-202. Boss could do better. There’s a market for this but it seems even Boss is satisfied the way it is.
Personally I’m still waiting on MIDI looping in Loopy Pro which was announced more than 2 years ago. I wonder if it will ever see the light or that I wasted money for nothing.
