Free Music Tech Mondays Series Explores The Future Of Music Technology

Developer Matthew Fecher (AudioKit Pro, Co-Founder & Associate Professor at the IU Herron School of Art + Design) let us us know about Music Tech Mondays – an exciting new interview series by The Department of Music & Arts Technology and the Herron School of Art and Design.

The free series features an impressive lineup of music industry professionals, including LinnDrum and MPC creator Roger Linn; Lily Jordan, head of sound design at Arturia; Soundtrack Loops co-founder Matt Yost; sound designer and producer Jason Donnelly; Matt Moldover, aka ‘the godfather of controllerism’; Grammy award-winning producer Henny Tha Bizness and many others.

The events are free and open to the public.

“It feels amazing to offer something like this for Indiana students and the wider community,” notes Fecher. “We pulled this whole thing together in about three weeks, with a budget of zero dollars. I’m completely floored by the incredible support from industry pros who stepped up—simply because they wanted to give back.”

If you’re in the Indiana area, you’re invited to participate in the free events. And plans are in the works to make the interviews available via live streams, also.

The series looks like a killer opportunity for students at the school, and the fact that it’s open to the public makes it that much cooler. Details are available at the Music Tech Mondays site.
