Oversynth.com has introduced new panel overlay lines for the Behringer Pro-800- and Pro-1 synthesizers.
The overlays are simple mods that let you customize the look of your synth. They are designed to improve look and usability, and to make it possible to to update your synths to have a more consistent style.
The new overlay designs range from various color-coded options to traditional black and white versions. All designs use high-contrast graphics and large fonts, whenever possible, for legibility in low-light situations.
To install the overlays, you have to pull off the synthesizer’s knobs and use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the front panel screws. Once these are removed, you place the overlay over the front panel and re-attach all the screws and knobs. There is no need for adhesive, the synthesizer’s screws and knobs hold the overlay in place.
Pricing and Availability:
The new overlays are priced at $35 US dollars each and are available now:
Absolute garbage
$53 including shipping to Europe – that’s too bad because I’d really like one. But too expensive when it’s in the ‘nice to have’ category, not ‘must have’.
yeah! For Japanese yen being really weak, it took me really gut to decide to buy the overlay for MicroFreak, to help loveing the synth a bit more. It was good quality but takes something to justify the price!
Very nice work! Impressive how different overlays make you connect to the synth in different ways.
my daughter puts stickers on her laptop.
The menu cheatsheet would make this thing much more useable. It’s crazy that you have to look in the manual to figure out the menu code for velocity sensitivity. I’m surprised they’ve managed an overlay for the membrane buttons but this is great.
