In his latest video, David Hilowitz takes a look at the Yamaha CS-20M, which he describes as “a baby version of Yamaha’s flagship CS-80”, used by Vangelis on the Blade Runner soundtrack.

While the CS-20M is no CS-80, it’s a great-sounding vintage synth.

Hilowitz shows how he troubleshooted an issue with the synth, and then goes on to demonstrate how it sounds. He also created a virtual instrument, based on the CS-20M, which you can get via his site.
