Wave Machine Labs has introduced Voice Band (App Store link), a new iPhone app that lets you control virtual instruments with your voice and make complete tracks with your iPhone.
It’s an impressive app – but you may look a bit mad using it. Check out the video above and let us know what you think!
Features:
- Turns your voice into an instrument, in real time.
- Instruments include: 2 guitars, bass, sax, 2 synths, Drums, and a Mic mode
- Built-in recorder allows you to record an entire song, one instrument at a time.
- iPod player lets you play along with your favorite music.
- Drum mode lets you play both kick and snare at the same time by singing at two different volumes.
- Auto Pitch mode helps you to stay on key.
- Adjustable octave
- Effects include distortion, reverb and delay.
- Adjustable musical scale for auto pitch includes Major, Minor, Blues, and Pentatonic.
- Built-in metronome with adjustable tempo.
- Songs can be saved, and e-mailed from within Voice Band.
This app is sick! The synths are pretty cool, especially with the delay/reverb slider and octave buttons. Wish it had a filter for them. The drums sound so real and easy to play.
when for Android?
Need for PC.
Can you tap on the table for the drums sounds and have softer taps be bass drum, and louder be snare?
When I set a key, why is the loudest pitch different from the fundamental pitch of the key I wanted? It drives me crazy to try to sing with it – it sounds okay in the end, but I feel like I'm singing in the wrong key the entire time.
