Matthew Davidson has unleashed a 2GB sample library of modular synth loops, available as a free download from his site.
The massive library features loops Davidson created with a TipTop Audio Z8000, among other synth modules.
You can preview the loop library above.
The monster-sized sample pack is Creative Commons licensed, which means you can use it for free, however you like – just give Davidson credit for being a badass of modern synthesis.
Here’s what Davidson has to say about his modular synth sample library:
I’ve been using the TipTop Audio Z8000 for a while now, collecting material for a video, but I also kept a DAW file handy and recorded bursts of interesting output at various intervals. This process generated a lot of materal, but it is clear to me it would be more useful in someone else’s hands. If anyone finds the content inspirational or as a creative catalyst, I’ll consider this a success. If you create a track using something from this library, upload the track to Soundcloud, and post the link in the comments of this post. Come March 15th, I’ll collect the results and embed the best (any?) tracks on my blog.
If you’re not familiar with Davidson yet, make sure you check out his site, The Stretta Procedure.
Samples are not accessible due to blog is being private
I’m interested but when I try to login, a message tells me that is a blog for guest only.
