Smider Noise has released version 1.8 of Noiseplug, a free modular synth for OS X, designed for “sound design and digital noise music.”
Features:
- drum-machine
- granular reverb
- spectral delay
- planet filter
- convolution modules
- and much moreā¦
A video tutorial is available for Noiseplug.
I like the minimalist look of it, black & white with a couple highlights of orange, I hate how everything else is all over beautified and cluttered, it slows your computer down too, I wish there was an 8bit visiual style for logic, hope this program works well
It takes some time to figure out the hows and whats of this, but once I found how the parts work together, I feel this could be a great live tool. I'm familiar with Smider's Badzen apps, and this follows suite in true experimentalism. Good stuff. Thank you!

Thanks a lot for your support.
This is a different approach to the traditional live electronics.
A software like a traditional instrument.
Enjoy make a noise.

Anyone know why Noiseplug looks and behaves almost exactly like a stripped-down Gleetchlab? Aside from some slight graphical differences and swapping the mod matrix for this mixer, they are nearly identical. It's not the same developer as far as I can tell. Gleetchlab changed it up a bunch for the v3 release, so there are fewer similarities now, but before that, it was essentially the same as this.
Here's a vid of me working with Gleetchlab v2 for reference:

All that aside, if you like sample mangling, you'll love Noiseplug/Gleetchlab.

Mystery solved! I just spotted this on their site:
"Noiseplug is a software written and programmed by Smider with the collaboration of Tobor Experiment – http://www.gleetchplug.com"

Yep – looks like a fruitful collaboration.
Frustration. Downloaded Noiseplug 1.8 several times now. I'm using a MacBook OS10.6. It works great but I have no modules as seen in video, no mixer, reverb, mixer, just the sample player x 4.
I'm too embarrassed to ask Smider again about this as I may have a basic misunderstanding of what I should have. I'v been all over the web for information but without any joy. Can anyone enlighten me please.

Yes
Plase use the pop up menu into the home page of noiseplug.
Hi,
I just found this cool little tool but I have the same issue – I can’t seem to access any module but the sample players…
I’m on macOS Sierra 10.12.1
Thanks in advance,
Imre
Got it.
I was looking for the popup menu in the wrong place.
Cheers,
Imre
