  3. I was really into the beginning sound. Until they began putting more boring sounding percussion into it. It was something sounding like Panasonic or Autechre. And yes I said Panasonic.

  4. Yeah, these guys with their expensive machines crack me up. I mean I know Richard Devine is apparently regarded as some sort of synthesis/sound design genius but I have heard nothing to convince me of this. Seems more like a guy with lots of expensive toys that he isn't entirely sure how to use.

  6. You couldn't be more right about this toolbag. Devine is a rich kid who collects toys but can't make any serious quality music with them. I'm so sick of hearing his name everywhere.

  10. I don't know how this derailed into a Devine bashing session. Let me just say, I've seen the man perform live and talked to him about his setup. He knows how to use his toys.

  13. I don't need to see him perform live or talk to him about his set-up to come to the conclusion that his music is mediocre at best. I have been hearing him for about 10 years and his self-posted videos confirm his mediocrity. Certainly don't have any gear envy over here. I need to keep in mind I am talking to "controllerists" who believe Daedalus and Moldover are the musical Geni of the 21st century. If they are the standard then All Hail Devine Ruler Of The Mediocre. All I am saying is can't we expect a little more ? Particularly from the people who apparently have gained some success in experimental genres and feel the need to buy all the gear so no one else can get it. Can I get a little more than synthesizer, plug-in, Ableton wack fests ? Are you guys familiar with composition ? How about synthesis ?

No wonder music doesn't progress !!! I bet you use presets too. meh. yawn. Again, my music isn't perfect. Also, if you actually thought about what I was saying you too might demand more instead of supporting the continued pollution of the internet. I won't be kiiling myself but I will continue to make beautifully imperfect music that you are probably buying or at least stealing. Thanks for your time.
