Carl Sagan’s Ghost – the ambient project of Daniel Davis – has released a new album as a free download, Especially For Them:
A deeply atmospheric ambient album. Daniel Davis has created a mesmerizing album of lush, electronic, ambient landscapes.
The release, on BFW Recordings, is available as a free download (.zip).
Davis has this to say about why his music and why he releases it for free:
What we do for money is not who we are.
It is what we do for free, what we do only because of passion, that makes us who we are.
If you like what you hear, make sure you check out the CSG site.
I'm glad I read that statement about who we are, because I grow tierd of people nagging me that I should be making a living out of my music making hobby. Downloading! =)
I just read trough his Bios, he thinks just like me about the life of a unsigned artist! Thank you for this post, Synthopia!
I don't care so much one way or another about the music politics, but this is a great set of tracks and it's the sort of music that the music industry doesn't seem to care about.
Daniel is an amazing individual and one of the most gracious human beings I have ever met. This is his best work yet.

this is fantastic stuff!
Thanks for the comments, guys. Glad you enjoy the music. Knowing that someone else likes it makes all the work worthwhile.
