Numark Industries has announced that its NuVJ product will be showcased by Los Angeles VJ artist, Momo the Monster during his upcoming tour of Apple stores across the U.S.
The NuVJ is a new video mixing console and performance tool designed to enable VJs and DJs to mix, scratch, and apply effects to video clips and images. The NuVJ integrates tightly with the accompanying Arkaos custom software (Mac OS and Windows), and is designed to work intuitively in the same way that DJs mix music. Users can trigger images and video clips, add effects to them, mix them through an onboard DJ style cross-fader, and tweak them in order to create unique and spectacular shows. The software package includes a library of video clips and delivers over 30 real-time video effects, video mixing from any USB or FireWire video camera, and flash text animation, all of which can be controlled by the NuVJ hardware.
Demonstrating the NuVJ will be VJ Surya Buchwald (AKA Momo the Monster) who will spotlight how Apple’s MacBook Pro computer integrates with the NuVJ. He will also show some Apple applications that are great for creating your own videos for VJ performance.
Surya is a regular in the L.A. club scene and runs a monthly user’s group for VJs called Lava (Los Angeles Video Artists). Lava brings together VJs and aspiring artists to share their work, provide tips to one another and network for gigs.
