Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook) has released five new tracks that he created using loops taken from Raymond Scott’s electronic soundtrack for the 1967 film, The Paperwork Explosion (directed by Jim Henson!).
The reworkings are available on two new EPs, which are collaborations with UK-based DJ/producer Hervé, are titled Machines Can Do The Work and Machines Can Do The Work: Remixed.
Here’s Scott’s original pionering soundtrack work in its original context:

Good stuff, but let's not forget B(if)tek, who submitted their take on machines doing the work rather earlier: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=955dZpR7QwY
PS Please ditch that "Comment before somebody else does!" silliness. Unless there's a prize, of course…

no fuckin joke this is epic. Beat is awesome, visuals are stunning.
More like these plz.
Note to synthhead : I click this blog at least 2 times a day. no joke.
Re the "Please ditch that "Comment before somebody else does!"
I'm taking suggestions.
It has to be better than "Comment" or "Click here to comment", though.
WizzBoy – will do what I can on the epic beats.
Sometimes, though, it seems like the epic beats aren't as easy to come by as they used to be.
Presumably I'm the only one here old enough to consider that this "epic beat" was probably no more than an afternoon's work, work, work, work. Personally, I find it annoyingly repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive.

And while you're at it take the "got free music" dog for a walk.
why not the pretentious and mildly bossy "Discuss"
or perhaps "Begin arguments here" or even "whine about it"
epic comment.
My day is ruined!
I'm still waiting for that "epic" part to kick in… nope, still not feeling it…
It sure would be nice if people did think… certainly not "what they're good at", but it would still be nice if they did. Instead we have a planet overpopulated with brain-dead idiots, content to wallow in their ignorance and let a few self-serving demagogues tell them what believe.
Then again, critical thinking might have ankled this track before release… and then we'd have nothing to talk about.
lemme guess… youd rather listen to daft punk
I'd rather listen to Rolf Harris singing "Two Little Boys". But the Court said I mustn't.
How about "Submit your meaningless opinion on this?"
