We wanted to to add some high speed frenetic soundtrack to the Tron Legacy trailers, so we wrote an original soundtrack, added sound effects, and used samples from the trailers on the actual track.

I'm humbled that people like it, it was never our idea to compete with Daft Punk, but we figured we'll get something out there, while they are finalizing the soundtrack.
