Brilliant! Oh, and instead of calling it 'off topic' I'd dub this "History lesson" 🙂
But some of the stuff said in this video is true. Back in those days lots of recordings were indeed mono and the "stereo" was basically added afterwards. If you ever manage to pick up some old vinyl you might even spot it on the label.
Anyway, sorry to disappoint but I'll continue to be using stereo… Otherwise it would kinda make my ping-pong Live effect sound silly 😎
We can't have future homemakers turning their brains to mush with stereo!
That does it! I'm sticking with mono!
Wow, if stereo can ruin the developing teenage mind.
What are 5.1 mixes doing to the kids of today?
We are all doomed.

Back to Mono!
Well, duh – why do you think God made singers with only one mouth? Or why do guitars have only one hole? Or records only one groove?
The only true music experience is to listen in mono – with the aid of sound-expanding drugs!
Similarly, we over-stimulate today's TV-hugging teenagers with too many colours! No wonder they're all moody delinquents.
