Frippertronics is a type of realtime audio overdubbing, based on tape loops, where the output of a tape delay is fed back into the recording input. This lets the player create complex, evolving sound sound collages.

The technique was used by Robert Fripp and Brian Eno in creating The Heavenly Music Corporation on No Pussyfooting, from 1973.
