Brian Eno is the subject of a new documentary DVD, Brian Eno – 1971-1977: The Man Who Fell To Earth:
Musician, composer, producer, music theorist, singer and visual artist; probably best known for his early work with Roxy Music, his production duties for U2 & Coldplay, and as one of the principal innovators of ambient music.
This documentary film – the first ever about Eno – explores his life, career and music between the years 1971 & 1977, the period that some view as his golden age. Featuring numerous exclusive interviews, contributions from a range of musicians, writers, collaborators and friends – plus performance and studio film and an abundance of the most exceptional music ever created.
I haven’t seen this yet and, at least from my perspective, it ends just as Eno was entering his most interesting phase. But it does look interesting……

Sounds good. Will check this out.
About time too! It's interesting to see that it is Americans who are doing most of the commentary on the trailer. I don't remember the US getting early Roxy at all, they couldn't pigeon-hole them onto their various radio genres. Nor the Bowie "Berlin" period either, yet they are all in awe of him now.
Ah, another englo-bigot…sigh…. What would you know about what was popular in the US at that time?
From Charles Sharr Murry articles? Give it a rest ya poof.
I remember hearing here comes the warm jets in the 70’s and there was no stopping me from following that whole scene from roxy music to 801 to nerve net and on I still find interesting stuff he does. Glad some one is doing a doc on him.
