Amazing Machines sent us this teaser image for the Miditribe I/O, a new mod for the Korg Monotribe that will add both MIDI IN and MIDI Out.
Amazing Machines says that installation of the MIDITRIBE I/O takes about 5 min, it is pre-assembled, no soldering, just plug and play.
The Miditribe I/O is expected to ship next week and sell for US $64.00 via the Amazing Machines site.
I wish you the best Amazing Machines!!!!
Thank you totomax, we wouldn’t have come this far without Synthtopia’s support and encouragement, a big thank you to all the Synthtopia Crew and Community, we love you all!!!
If this is easy to install it will do really well
Hi xtopher, installation of the MIDITRIBE I/O takes no more than 5 min, it is pre-assemble, no solder, just plug and play.
Pricing and availability,Amazing Machines?
Hi AnalOG, the new list price is $64.00 USD, we should start shipping next week.
The new PCB has made the assembly process much faster, it allowed us to add the MIDI OUT functionality and the best MIDI connectors (Female DIN5) available on the market, also it allowed us to bring the list price down.
AMAZING MACHINES does it again
i picked up ver3 and installed it in under 1min!!!
without even powering down my machine
!!! my machine was still on!!!
monotribe owners YOU NEED TO GET THIS !!!
This makes me want to get one!
We are not sure what is going on but our post are been blocked by the server, anyone?
Looks like there is some kind of filter blocking us from answering AnalOG’s question, the server returns this message:
“Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!”
But the comment never showed up.
Ok sorted out, the server is probably blocking some words as it may take it as spam.
Looks like it showed up. Were you replying to several comments in a row? If so, sometimes cacheing, either in your browser or in a proxy, can show you a recent copy of the page, rather than the latest version. This is done to speed up your page loads.
Not sure if that’s what affected you, but we didn’t have to OK your reply to AnalOG or anything.
Hi synthhead, no we were only trying to reply AnalOG’s question, while the page was still been updated by other users comments, our comment never showed up. It looks like a filter that will catch some words in a sentence and block the comment, We would like to explain better what is new in the product and why we were able to bring the price down, but after 20 or 30 attempts we couldn’t have that sentence posted, we tried switching words without success, some words cannot be replaced. By the way, thank you for your support! We really appreciate it!
I checked the “spam” comment inbox, and found multiple messages from you.
I am not sure why your messages got spam filtered, but I would assume that the presence of ‘female’ and ‘anal’ in your messages triggered it.
We rely on an automated service called Akismet to do spam filtering. It is 99.91% accurate on our site, but that means that some spam does still slip through occasionally and also that some legitimate messages get mistakenly considered spam.
Again, sorry about the inconvenience!
By the way, if you ever have a problem, there’s a link to the Feedback form at the top of every page.
Got it, so it is better to contact you through the feedback form instead. Don’t feel sorry, we couldn’t be happier that a place like this exists, we wouldn’t have come this far without your support for that we are thankful!
Oh, also we could see that you updated the description of the post, it has no link to our website, can you please add it?
Thanks in advance,
Amazing Machines
We normally link to pages where people can find additional information. Currently, you don’t have any additional information on your site, and you did not provide a URL, pricing or availability information when you submitted the story.
We added a link to your site, but please help us help you out, in the future, by letting us know where people can find additional information. If we miss something, feel free to add a comment with the details. I’d suggest avoiding putting ‘anal’ and ‘female’ in the same comment, though.
It wasn’t our intention to bug you guys, we wanted to send it to Synthtopia even before we update our website, to make sure no one would get it before you, we can see now that it wasn’t the best of our ideas, it ain’t going to happen again, we are sorry for this. It seems to bring a feeling of incomplete considering the way that posts are formated as you described, our idea was that one picture tells more than a thousand words and we wanted to bring it to Synthtopia before any other website, including our own.
Nice one 🙂

So the old kit was $75 and only had midi in, this one is $11 cheaper and to upgrade from the old one you have to pay $10? Seems kind of weird. There are quite a few other people offering midi in and out for the Monotribe for a while now, check ebay.
