Kymatica has introduced BitWiz Audio Synth, a new iOS app that translates C-like code expressions into lo-fi 8-bit generative audio in real-time.
BitWiz comes bundled with examples and you can add your own codes to the built-in library. You can also share your codes by e-mail.
The entered code expression is used to calculate each audio frame, and can optionally include the microphone input as a variable, for crazy distortion effects.

Have you seen the so-called “first ios FM synth” by DTUNE? Real pricey though.
Actually, yes and I just bought it (iYM2151) an hour ago. It’s great. Definitely pricey. It’ s also not the first dedicated FM synth on iOS. DXi is a 4-op FM synth that is cheap but has given me great results for a while, now. iYM2151 is a “workstation” though; I can imagine doing complete tracks within it… like an FM version of iMS20. I haven’t gone deep enough with it to recommend it, but I really like it so far, especially after figuring out how the sequencer works.
