Here’s a video demo of SpaceSampler:
SpaceSampler is available now for $.99. If you’ve used SpaceSampler, let us know what you think of it!
Amazing that they offer this for $.99. Is there something comparable on the desktop that’s not $100+?
Even more amazing : it was free just a couple of days ago!
Although I’m pretty sure I looked at it a while ago and it was $4.99. So .99 isn’t so bad.
I got it free months ago. It’s been out for quite some time.
Yes there are plenty of VST’s and AU that can do this, a lot of them are free.
LAconvolver is free. DP has ProVerb, Logic & Mainstage ($29) has Space Designer.
With those convolutions, you can load ANY audio file as your impulse response, and free impulse responses are plentiful on the internet.
It’s not clear whether you can load your own I.R.’s in this app. If I’m not mistaken, longer IR’s would require heavier processing.
I’m not crazy about the examples given, but they might be great for some folks’ needs.
I’m not dissing this app. I don’t know that there are other convolution apps available yet. It’s a great and untapped technology.
Impressive, but what’s the workflow?
This might just be the perfect little field recording app — includes Audio Copy, Audio Paste, SoundCloud and Dropbox, plus looking at the @spacesampler twitter feed, it looks as if the developer is putting it on sale ahead of some sort of update.
Also, it saves the recording both as filtered and unfiltered, which means if you aren’t satisfied with the outcome of a filter but don’t want to throw away the recording you can always take the file that has no filter and test other filters or just send it to your DAW.
Just got it. Sounds beautiful for 99 cents.
just tried it and it got some seriously buggy noises.
@Deck Lazer maybe try the “limit IR length” setting?
I would like to know if sampler will push out the recording using headphones to a Bluetooth connection apparently not right now doesn’t work on my car
