Steinberg has announced the immediate availability of Nuendo Live, a new version of Nuendo, designed specifically for multitrack recording live performances.
Nuendo Live offers a single-window user interface, designed to let you focus on recording. Transport control, marker insertion and recording options can be accessed with just one click. And a convenient Record Panel gives you an instant overview of all relevant parameters. Other highlights include on-the-fly session setup, a 60-second pre-record buffer and auto-save functionality.

Being that it’s designed to work with $100k consoles I’d say the price is about right
If you don’t like what I said about the price think about purchasing a PT HD rig with plugins, road-racking it, that’s probably going to run you around $4000 for PT and another $1000 for the rolling rack then you will probably want to use a Digidesign/Avid console the SC48 starts at $68,000 and the Profile at about $75,000. So that being said Nuendo has a better output algarithem than PT and is cheaper, as long as you externally clock the DAW and the Yamaha console this seems like a pretty great option…
Id like to see more daw makers consider custom ‘views’ for specific purposes.
