Idris Elba’s How Clubbing Changed the World takes a look at how British underground music emerged from raves and clubs to take on the world.
The documentary is a bit hyperbolic, but features anecdotes from David Guetta, Armand van Helden, Paul Oakenfold, will.i.am, Nile Rodgers, Goldie, Pete Tong, Katy B, Skream, Moby and others.

Lots of hyperbole indeed. Wigan Casino second best disco in the world, come on! Outside of the UK, a few things ARE significant for how electronic club culture evolved…
Nice doc. From my opinion, its a little incomplete but I think its impossible to jam so info into an hour and 30 minutes.
After this was shown on channel 4 in the uk last week , they broadcast a live , 6 hour Dj set with the likes of Grandmaster Flash , Eric Morrilo et al . From midnight till 6 am with no adverts there was really no need to go out on a Friday night !
Wish the U.S was that cool. We just got stupid election ads
Just ended watching it, and its a truly well made documentary. Highly recommendable
Great to see any docos on dance music/ synths. I found it a bit scattery in its presentation but it did take me back!
