  1. Apart from the MIDI IN and OUT, are there any exporting features? For instance, once satisfied with the loop, am I able to send it back to my computer, on which I run Reason?

  2. Okay, so I bought the app really hoping it would have a pattern change capablity like the electribes but sadly not. Oh well another app I will never use.

    1. Make a drum machine similar to the ESX but with access to more than 128mbs and with pattern queuing then I will go totally mad for your app. Mind you it is pretty cheap so I shouldn’t ask for to much :). While I am at though a nice FTP wireless transfer of samples would make my year. ๐Ÿ™‚

Keep up the good work the app shows promise. I need to try the midi out and this could be the perfect giging app ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Ask for whatever you want! I can tell you what is possible. Pattern queue is possible, as well as accessing more than 128mb of ram. Currently, Beat-Machine only uses < 30mb of ram at a time, and swaps one kit for another when you change them (hence the loading times). This seemed like a good idea at first because iOS would kill the app if it took too much ram, but I spent a good chunk of development time on an iPod touch 3… which isn't that great for audio apps. With all the ram current devices have I'm going to allow the user to load multiple kits together so they can be switched on the fly with no loading. FTP would work to but will have to wait… I've already implemented audio copy / paste, and I'm working on dropbox support to make sample loading more convenient… nobody likes iTunes file sharing. I also need to make a video of myself making a fat beat and hopefully synthtopia will post it!

    1. Oh and I forgot to add: Beat-Machine outputs standard GM note numbers for drums on channel 10, just like the old drum machines. kick(36), snare(38), clap(39) etc. I could make the note numbers assignable however, if that is what people want!
