Uniquesquared has released another in their series of Moog Factory Tour videos. This video focuses on the Minimoog Voyager.
Moog’s Jim Debardi offers a bit of history on the Minimoog synthesizer and explains how they build the modern Minimoog Voyager.
So by Moog’s definition of progress, we would all still be using a 486 or an Apple 2c? I have the utmost respect for Dr. Moog and his tremendous contributions, yet where is the progress in regurgitating the same product in slight variances and modifications?
No thanks. Analogue or not, I am tired of the same old THING!
So buy something from someone else. There are plenty of options out there. Moog provides one type of sound that’s still well regarded.

If you’re comparing a musical instrument to general purpose computers then you’ll be disappointed in the lack of “progress”.
Anyone notice this on the Moog site…
