At the 2013 NAMM Show, Cakewalk’s Jimmy Landry gave us a quick overview of the latest version of Z3TA+ 2, version 2.1.
Z3TA+ 2.1 not only has a lot of new features, but is now available for Mac, in addition to Windows.
Other highlights of version 2.1:
- Preset Search Button
- Scala Tuning
- Z3TA+ 2.1 can fully load your stereo WAV files, as well as 24-bit & 32-bit WAV files.
- Z3TA+ 2.1 uses less memory than Z3TA+ 2.
- Ribbon Controller — The Ribbon Controller now lights up when it is clicked on and remains lit up while active.
- Drag N’ Drop – Arpeggiator patterns don’t have to stay locked in Z3TA+ 2 anymore. New updates allow you to drag patches from the graph and drop them into your host where you can edit the MIDI notes.

Been on mac for a while iirc. Cool synth. I guess z3ta 3 will be the fully multi-touch version then?
It’s multitouch in Sonar now.
Cool! That would have been the thing to feature in the video!
Huh? They demonstrate it in the video!
What is ‘Scala Tuning’?
I get that it’s for microtiming, but how does this work?
Microtuning!
