Sunday Synth Jam: Here’s a live symphonic rock jam by synthesist Erik Norlander – Trantor Station.
Norlander’s Galactic Collective project revisits some of Norlander’s instrumental compositions, originally written for Rocket Scientists, Lana Lane and his own solo albums.
The album features Norlander performing on an amazing arsenal of classic analog synthesizers (including the Wall of Doom modular, seen in the video), Hammond organ and a Steinway Model B grand piano.
The track Trantor Station features:
- Erik Norlander – keyboards,
- Freddy DeMarco – guitars
- Mark Matthews – bass
- Nick LePar – drums
This song was originally appeared on Erik’s 1997 debut solo CD, Threshold, released by the Avalon label in Japan and Kinesis in the USA.
Norlander’s The Galactic Collective is available in iTunes.
Needs more capes.
Excellent drummer btw!
