M-Audio has announced support for Apple’s new Intel-based Mac computers.
M-Audio has posted official drivers for Fast Track USB, Fast Track
Pro, MobilePre USB, JamLab, Transit USB, Audiophile USB, FireWire Solo,
FireWire Audiophile, FireWire 410, FireWire 1814, ProjectMix I/O,
Ozonic, M-Audio Ozone, Oxygen 8, MIDISPORT 2×2, MIDISPORT 1×1,
MIDISPORT 4×4, MIDISPORT 2×4 and MIDISPORT 8×8/s.
When combined with M-Audio’s collection of class-compliant devices,
this driver release brings Intel-based Mac compatibility to all non-PCI
M-Audio interfaces and controllers. To download these drivers, users
can visit the Support > Drivers section of the M-Audio web site.
“M-Audio has a long history of enabling musicians to take advantage
of the latest developments on the Macintosh platform,” says Tim Ryan,
M-Audio General Manager. “We are proud to continue our support by
offering Universal drivers for a wide selection of USB- and
FireWire-based peripherals.”
M-Audio has also converted the Enigma Librarian/Editor over to the
Universal binary format. M-Audio software partner Ableton has recently
released Live 5.2 software, which delivers immediate native Intel-based
Mac computer support to Live users. M-Audio expects that the rest of
its developed and distributed software will be operable on Intel-based
Mac computers in the near future.
