Music software maker Cakewalk has announced the availability of their vintage keyboard VKFX Bundle (designed by Overloud) for the ProChannel platform.
Overloud VKFX is a virtual rack packed with “outstanding” models of vintage analog effect processors, especially suited for keyboard players. It captures the sound of the original masters, which were often the key element in defining a classic instrument’s unique ‘voice’.
The VKFX package consists of 8 “premium quality” effects, along with the full suite version (VST/AU/AAX/RTAS) for SONAR X1 Producer Expanded and SONAR X2 Producer. In addition, each effect processor is now available individually as a VST and ProChannel module.
Overloud VKFX is a virtual rack of individual effect modules which can be inserted into SONAR’s ProChannel. The effects are tailored for keyboards, but are well-suited for any musician, producer or mixing engineer needing to add an array of effects to audio tracks.
VKFX includes 8 effect processors:
- Essential Electric Piano Preamp with Stereo Pan/Tremolo
- Opto-compressor
- Envelope and Dynamic Filter (Wah)
- Phase Shifter
- Analog Chorus
- Overdrive
- Tape Multi-tap Delay
- Tube Amplifier
In addition to the sound of the Overloud VKFX modules, they are also efficient on CPU load. Modules can be easily rearranged by dragging to reorder inside the ProChannel. All parameters can be automated and assigned to MIDI controllers, and all rates and times can be synchronized to the tempo of the DAW, if preferred. The modules adhere to the ProChannel’s flexible file management system, allowing any combination of VKFX to be loaded and saved for future recall.
