This week Universal Audio announced an update to its UAD Software. UAD Software v7.1 provides “elegant enhancements” to the Apollo Audio Interface.
One key enhancement is Flex Routing, which allows inputs to be routed to hardware outputs, headphone bus routing, as well as selectable pre/post Aux send. Flex Routing speeds up workflow as well as adds an additional level of flexibility for Apollo and Apollo 16 users in both studio and live situations.
New Apollo Flex Routing features include:
- Route up to eight Console channel inputs to hardware outputs* with optional monitor mirroring
- Apollo headphone mix buses can be mirrored to any hardware output
- Pre/post fader switching for Aux mix buses
- Vertical resizing of the Console application window
Flex Routing is included in the new UAD Software v7.1, which also features the Pultec Passive EQ Plug-In Collection and the Millennia NSEQ-2 Plug-In.
Pricing and Availability. Flex Routing is a free update available on the UA website now as part of the v7.1 download. More information about the new UAD v7.1 software, Flex Routing, and Apollo Audio interfaces are available from the Universal Audio website.
