Fadefox introduced DJ44, a suitcase MIDI controller for Traktor Pro and Ableton Live.
The DJ44 is designed to be compact, powerful and quick to set up. And the suitcase design looks pretty bad-ass.

I saw the headline and thought meh – then saw the thing and thought ‘shame I don’t jockey discs’ ’cause that thing looks really nicely build and it could withstand a bomb blast. Price also seems good for what you’re getting.
If they had issued it with a DIN midi out and made it programmable, it would have had me saving up. But this? Pretty, but limited.
…And what is it supposed to do that my iPads can’t …?
well…..professional Djaying all night long in a club…..figure that out !!

The main purpose of any controller is muscular memory which allows user to find desired button or knob without looking at it, thus allowing to concentrate on such things as interacting with audience, or watching on the spectroscope, or being high, or whatever the performer needs. Not on trying to put a finger in a right spot.
Can somebody tell me why this controller is usefull when using loads of clips in ableton? so vs the apc40?
